Feeling Blue

I'm the sort of person who likes to blend in rather than stand out, but for the past couple of years I have been trying to change this to break out of the mold. Lately I have been surprising my self reaching for colours that I don't normally go for, putting together and clashing prints that I don't normally put together. Which I'm starting to really enjoy.

This dress is one of the things I love the most in my wardrobe. I'm not really a girly girl but I love the edginess in this dress. The cut is perfect and fits like a glove. The back cut out detailing is what adds that extra detailing to this dress. Oh! and the colour is just too perfect. Just can't fault this dress in any way.

I wanted to keep the outfit simple because this dress it self is quite a statement dress but chose these leopard print shoes because leopard print and cobalt blue is a match made in heaven.

Bought this clutch  from Primark couple of weeks ago and I have used it so many times already (including last post here)

Day to Night

I like my casual clothing to be casual, my going out to be going out and my holiday clothing to be just that. But lately I'm trying to cut back on my spending because lets just say I spend way too much money on unnecessary things.
I'm trying to push my self to wear my clothes for different occasions by styling them a bit different. This outfit is a prime example of how I want to wear my clothes going forward.

This is how I wore these lace shorts during the day. I love comfortable outfits and boyfriend t-shirts are kind of my thing this summer (so I decided). Don't we always carry an extra layer around with us here in the UK for the ever changing weather?? This denim shirt was my extra layer even though I didn't necessarily need it that day I loved the edginess it added to the outfit.

I was given 10 minutes to change to go out that day as it happened to be my birthday:-) Was lying on the sofa after big fat meal watching TV when my husband announced that he was taking me out for drinks. I like planning my outfits and 10 minutes is definitely not enough to get ready for a birthday girl is it?

Since I was already wearing the shorts and the t-shirts I thought I would base my night outfit around them. Was quite pleased with the outcome. I would definitely wear a little bit more make up and jewellery if I had a little bit extra time

T- Shirt - Primark

Sorry it's kind of a long post but I wanted to share how easy it is to turn a casual day outfit into a going out one.

Green with Envy.

I am absolutely loving the summer's ultimate printed trousers at the moment. Picked these trousers up because I fell in love with them the moment I lay my eyes on them. These trousers are a rare find for me because most of the time I struggle with finding trousers that fit me properly.

Instead of going for colored shirt I opted for this white shirt to draw more attention to the beautiful print on the trousers. The Brown heeled sandals are my most recent purchase and I have not let them off my feet lately.

THAT Dress

It has been a while since I have done a post (Six months to be precise) Lets just say I have not been very inspired. I blame it on the horrible weather and the lack of free time. With my excuse out of the way lets move on to the post:)

I have been after a maxi dress for quite some time now. I wanted something that I can dress up as well as dress down. With the festival season coming up I also wanted something that can be easily styled as festival wear.

This H&M dress is perfect for all occasions and so affordable. There are quite a few print options that you can choose as well. With this look I didn't really want to over accessorize, so kept it very simple.

I am hoping this outfit post will be one of many more to come this summer.  Making it my absolute mission to get out and do more things as well as posting more often because I have got quite lazy on my days off.

Wonderland

Finally an outfit post! I have been dying to do an outfit post lately but been struggling to find the time and even when I do have a minute or two it's been raining none stop.
You will see a lot of leather and fur this winter here. I have been a bit obsessive about leather and fur since the weather got a bit cold.

This skirt is one of my favorite items in my wardrobe at the moment. I promised my self that no matter how freezing cold it gets I'm going to wear more skirts and dresses this winter because as soon as it gets cold I normally just live in jeans and trousers and never experiment.

Cropped tops have never been my thing but since getting my self some high waisted skirts and shorts I have been purchasing more and more cropped tops, in the form of t-shirts, shirts and sweaters. I'm not a winter person and I never get excited about layering up to the point where I can barely breath but I have  kinda been enjoying dressing for winter this year. It's mainly due to the fact that I have finally found items that I enjoy putting on in the morning.

  Top - Zara (here)
   Skirt- Zara
  Boots - M&S (here)
Bag - eBay (here)

Don't get too excited about the handbag it's not what you think it is!! I actually bought it on eBay couple of months ago and I'm surprised how amazing the quality is. It also doesn't hurt that it looks so much like the actual Celine bag..:-) It's big enough to fit in all my bits and bobs and so easy to carry around as it's got the short handle as well as the adjustable long strap and quite a few compartments inside the bag.

I have also got some exciting news! Singer22 is website that I came across recently as they awarded me with their "Arbiter of style" award. They have some amazing products and with Christmas around the corner there are quite a few pieces that I have added on to my wishlist :-)
What are your staple items this winter?? How do you incorporate these in to your everyday winter wardrobe?? Would love to hear your thoughts and ideas:-)
