Feeling Blue

I'm the sort of person who likes to blend in rather than stand out, but for the past couple of years I have been trying to change this to break out of the mold. Lately I have been surprising my self reaching for colours that I don't normally go for, putting together and clashing prints that I don't normally put together. Which I'm starting to really enjoy.

This dress is one of the things I love the most in my wardrobe. I'm not really a girly girl but I love the edginess in this dress. The cut is perfect and fits like a glove. The back cut out detailing is what adds that extra detailing to this dress. Oh! and the colour is just too perfect. Just can't fault this dress in any way.

I wanted to keep the outfit simple because this dress it self is quite a statement dress but chose these leopard print shoes because leopard print and cobalt blue is a match made in heaven.

Bought this clutch  from Primark couple of weeks ago and I have used it so many times already (including last post here)

Green with Envy.

I am absolutely loving the summer's ultimate printed trousers at the moment. Picked these trousers up because I fell in love with them the moment I lay my eyes on them. These trousers are a rare find for me because most of the time I struggle with finding trousers that fit me properly.

Instead of going for colored shirt I opted for this white shirt to draw more attention to the beautiful print on the trousers. The Brown heeled sandals are my most recent purchase and I have not let them off my feet lately.

New found LOVE!

Dungarees! Ever since they hit the high street must have list I have been contemplating whether to embrace the trend or not. I have seen people who successfully wear it in their utter gorgeousness and then there's those who fail and I really didn't want to be one of them from the latter.

Denim dungarees is a big no no for me because I will probably get lost inside them somewhere, so I have been after something that is more appropriate for me just to try it on and see. Because I never thought I would find something that I would like, let alone love.

I went into Topshop just to check out their sale but the minute I saw these Dungarees I just fell in love!! It was the light weight fabric, the style and most of all the print that caught my eye. With all that excitement I forgot to even check the price until I went to the tills only to be told that it was just £55!! I really do think that's a real bargain.

I wanted to style it the most simplest way possible. With a statement print like this I don't think it needed much styling anyway. All it needed was a white simple t-shirt underneath and my black leather clutch and heels. The fit is so flattering, I think it's because they are tailored rather than just a loose fit. I absolutely love it.

The dungarees are not heavy at all so it will suit any body shape and I love the simplicity of these. If your worried about a full on dungarees look then try it on with a blazer, so it breaks the print and the style up a bit and will make it look as if it's a pair of trousers.

What do you think about the dungarees?? How would you style it??

Peek-a-boo

I have had quite a busy and productive weekend. Lots of cleaning and sorting things out, which I always tend to put off. Plus the weather wasn't too bad either was it?? So all in all it was a lovely weekend!

I have couple of outfits to share, so I was struggling to choose which one to post today.

If you have been following my blog you'd know I love my denim. I have about 4 denim shirts, all different shades and quite a few pairs of jeans. I use my denim shirts as a soft layering piece to wear on top of my vest tops or dresses in spring/ summer and in winter I layer it underneath my jumpers.

I also love dressing my denim shirts up (here) and this is another one of those. So dogtooth print is not a massive trend anymore but I got this skirt from Primark some time ago.

Now, in my previous post I said I don't normally buy clothes from Primark unless it's the limited collection but every now and then I do find quite nice pieces there. I like this skirt because of the neon waist band. Again, if you have been following my posts you ll know, I like to buy pieces that's quite different from the typical on trend pieces. My leather skirt and this dogtooth skirt are a few. I say dogtooth, but it's more like a distressed version of the dogtooth print. (another reason why I like this skirt)

This denim shirt is a very soft, light weight denim. Perfect for spring days, like the past couple of days we have had. The contrast against the neon waist band really stands out.
I have used my necklace to match the dogtooth print to the spikes on it. ( as I'm a bit OCD about matching things:-) used a simple pair of open heels to go with the outfit. Oh! And my trusted leather clutch/bag to keep all my stuff in.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

What do you think about this outfit?? Like the skirt? Would love to hear from you!
