Starry Eyes

This summer is all about boyfriend t-shirts for me. I love anything that is slouchy and comfortable. This outfit is based around two things that I'm loving at the moment, and its this star printed t-shirt and my new black heels.

We are having an amazing summer for a change here in the UK and you know what that means?? SHOPPING and more SHOPPING!! This star printed t-shirt is one of my recent buys and I can never say no to a cheap buy. At £3.99 from Zara this was just that:-)

T-shirt - Zara
Jeans - Gap
Necklace - Primark
Sandals - Zara
Bag - E-bay

(T-shirt, jeans and sandals are all sold out on the Zara website and other items are a bit old so I can't seem to find any links. Sorry!)

Double whamy

As you know I'm a sucker for denim. Today's post is another double denim combo (See Previous double denim post here) People are still a bit hesitant to wear double denim for some reason but all it need is a bit of careful styling. This time I have gone for a off white cropped denim and a denim shirt.

I find it very difficult to maintain white clothes, so I always tend to go for anything but white. These jeans are great because they are a off white colour (but I still struggle to not stain them every time I wear these) The cut of these jeans are so flattering and the zip detail on the ankle gives these plain jeans a bit of an edge. The only thing I dislike about these jeans is that every time I wash these the shape of the zip goes a bit wonky. (does anyone knows how you can avoid this??)

The denim shirt is a washed out denim so it doesn't pop out against the off white jeans. I introduced these leopard print shoes to break the denim. You can even use a printed bag. If you think this is a bit too smart styling then go for flats and a small fringed bag. The styling potential for this outfit is endless.

Jeans are from Stradivarius, which is owned by the same company as Zara. Unfortunately it's not sold in the UK but quite a popular brand in all of Europe. It's a store that I never fail to visit every time I'm in Europe. They do clothing and accessory which is quite similar to Zara designs but a bit cheaper.

Bohemian Mix

Hi all!! Im sorry my blogging this month has been so on and off. As much as I'd love to say I ll be more consistent but work is crazy and home is even crazier. So I'm going to try and get a bit more organised this month and hopefully be more consistent from next month.

I haven't had much time to experiment with outfits for the past couple of weeks. Even with my everyday work wear I try and choose the outfit the night before but  past couple of weeks I've literally just grabbed what ever and put on in the morning.

Must say this outfit is one of my favorites  I wore this skirt here as a more dressed up look, which is what I normally go for with this skirt but I wanted to wear it a bit differently as the weather s been a bit towards the warmer side than normally (even without the sun) .

Reached for one of my denim shirts but rather than tucking it in I decided to go for a cropped tie up. I must say I love this look. I've always Tried to kind of stay away from tie up tops but I think I have been converted:-). You can do this with any top you have and I think it gives any casual look that extra spin.

Initially I wanted to go for a bit of a boho sort of look but I don't think that's what I achieved in the end, not that I'm complaining. It was nice to get a bit of my mid riff out for a change.

What do you think about this outfit?? Are you a fan of maxi skirt and tie up top combo??

I love a bit of sparkle on a day like this

I love mixing my pieces in my wardrobe. Let it be summer pieces mixed in with winter or giving my going out clothes a casual spin. This skirt is one of my many favorites to do that. Considering how much sequin embroidery it's got, I got it for a bargain. I've worn it a couple of times going out and layered it with a shirt and jumper combo here. ( that combo was also picked as look of the day by look magazine :-)

The weather s been amazing for a change. I mean truly truly amazing right?? But sadly I haven't been feeling too well to dress up or go out much. Hence the reason I haven't been blogging much.

I always reach for this skirt when I need a bit of cheering up. I don't really care or think much about what I'm going to wear it with because I just base my whole look around this skirt. I only have to consider where I'm going and the sort of look I want to go for. The skirts got a under layer so you can't really feel the sequins on your skin plus it's surprisingly very light weight considering the amount of sequins used.

I wasn't going for a specific look or anything, just wanted something casual and comfortable. A vest top underneath and threw in one of my denim shirts. I love the texture clash and the fact that a denim shirt is the last thing anyone would prolly think to wear with a skirt like this. The skirt doesn't really have a waist band so I use a belt to give my waist a bit of definition. These flat sandals are really comfy and I love the colours and the style( oh! The joy of getting my toes out)

I have definitely got my money s worth with this skirt already plus it would have been such a shame to hang it in my wardrobe and wait for a special occasion or a night out to wear it.

Hope you all have had a amazing weekend! I sure did

Walk in the park

Seems like Spring is finally here! For how long I don't know. But while it's here I'm adamant that I am going to get the maximum wear out of all my spring/summer clothes! FACT!!

I have had two days off in the week(lush) the weather being this nice was a bonus. Decided to go for a walk in the park to get some well deserved fresh air, while wearing less layers of clothes for a change.

As you know I love my denim. I wear denim shorts through out the year. In winter with leggings or tights and in summer with t-shirts and vest tops but I have never attempted to really dress denim shorts up. Denim shorts are my holiday essentials, may be the reason why I don't tend to make an effort when wearing them. But after depressingly going through some LA street style photographs I thought I ll give it a go. I love how the Los Angelean's style their denim shorts, their styling give it this chic yet casual vibe. Though I don't really know how far I got with creating this chic yet casual look with my styling, I'm glad I gave it a go.

The top I chose is a very light weight see through fabric (not very weather appropriate given it's not that warm but YOLO) I normally wear a vest top underneath but decided against it, not that it makes any difference anyway and went all out with accessories (well more than what I normally wear). I bought these ballet pumps couple of weeks ago from Primark and thought it ll look great with the plain outfit. And my cheap Primark Satchel was a god send because it comes handy when I don't want to carry around my massive bag that I normally carry around.

I had my leather jacket with me just in case but once we started walking it did get quite warm so I didn't really need it.
I know it's not a great outfit but it's something different to how I would normally wear denim shorts, so I thought I ll share it with everyone.

Top- Zara
Shoes- Primark

Peek-a-boo

I have had quite a busy and productive weekend. Lots of cleaning and sorting things out, which I always tend to put off. Plus the weather wasn't too bad either was it?? So all in all it was a lovely weekend!

I have couple of outfits to share, so I was struggling to choose which one to post today.

If you have been following my blog you'd know I love my denim. I have about 4 denim shirts, all different shades and quite a few pairs of jeans. I use my denim shirts as a soft layering piece to wear on top of my vest tops or dresses in spring/ summer and in winter I layer it underneath my jumpers.

I also love dressing my denim shirts up (here) and this is another one of those. So dogtooth print is not a massive trend anymore but I got this skirt from Primark some time ago.

Now, in my previous post I said I don't normally buy clothes from Primark unless it's the limited collection but every now and then I do find quite nice pieces there. I like this skirt because of the neon waist band. Again, if you have been following my posts you ll know, I like to buy pieces that's quite different from the typical on trend pieces. My leather skirt and this dogtooth skirt are a few. I say dogtooth, but it's more like a distressed version of the dogtooth print. (another reason why I like this skirt)

This denim shirt is a very soft, light weight denim. Perfect for spring days, like the past couple of days we have had. The contrast against the neon waist band really stands out.
I have used my necklace to match the dogtooth print to the spikes on it. ( as I'm a bit OCD about matching things:-) used a simple pair of open heels to go with the outfit. Oh! And my trusted leather clutch/bag to keep all my stuff in.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

What do you think about this outfit?? Like the skirt? Would love to hear from you!
