Hot Summer Days

Today's post is about a outfit I wore to a small garden party. I was so tempted to just go in a pair of shorts and a vest top because it was so so warm but it was a special occasion so I had to make an effort ( at least pretend)

Got this Topshop dress last year in the sale but I never got around to wear it. It actually came with a little black lace cropped top that you put over the dress but since it was way too hot I thought I'll lose that bit.

I have used these sandals so much this summer. Worn them with jeans, skirts shorts and dresses they go with everything and so comfortable. Sometimes I forget I even have then on because they are so lightweight. I just hope this weather is here to stay because I can wear these more often because I absolutely love them

If you live in the UK, are you loving this weather??  What do you think about this outfit? what do you consider when dressing for warm weather?

A different sort of post

It's the last day of my week off. Can't believe it's gone so fast and I could not have picked a better week. Today's post is a bit different (why not??) I don't want to turn this blog into a lifestyle blog but thought it'll be nice to include this really nice place I went to along with the outfit pictures.

I really wanted to take some proper outfit pictures but it was so so warm that all three of us were very hot and bothered, so the pictures are not great which is why I can't really do a full outfit post. Hence the reason I wanted include couple of pictures of the park we went to.

The only reason I like living in Derbyshire is because of the really nice places around. If you follow me Instagram you must have seen more pictures. But this Park has to be one of my favorite places I have visited in Derbyshire.

My outfit for the occasion was pretty much what I could easily grab out of my wardrobe. I wore this Topshop skirt here when the weather was much colder so it was nice to just wear it with a simple vest top and sandals. It is a bit short for a skirt because every time I bend down to carry my son I was told that I revealed a bit too much by my husband :-) But I love this skirt, it's a bit high waisted and really comfortable to wear.

Sorry the pictures look almost the same with no close up's or anything but the weather is to blame:)

Top- Bershka (old)
Skirt - Topshop
Satchel - Primark
Sandals - H&M

So a bit about the place...

River Gardens in Belper is not a massive Park compared to all the parks around the area but it's one of those places that you will fall in love with instantly. Last time I was there it was much less crowded, which is when I took the pictures of the park it self but my outfit pictures are from yesterday when it was so chaotic, there were kids running,  a little festival and then there were loads of wedding parties taking pictures. So considering the place is not big it was difficult to enjoy the lovely surrounding.

This is my first post that I have done a bit differently, I never really wanted to include anything lifestyle on here as I only wanted fashion related posts on my blog. So, Let me know what you think!!

Festival Love

The weather has been so nice lately and to top it off I'm having a week off. Talk about perfect timing! Caught up with alot of things specially spending some time with my little boy. We went to the park and the museum, did our garden and finally managed to get our little paddling pool out, I cannot believe how much I'm enjoying this time off.

Today's outfit is very festive inspired and its already been featured on ASOS fashion finder:-) and here. I'm not at all a festival fan only because the weather in UK is never festival proof and its wet, muddy and horrible but I'm hating myself for not getting tickets for the wireless festival this weekend because its guaranteed the weather is going to be beautiful (for once) it would have been the icing on the cake for my perfect week off.

Crown and glory floral head bands are the best for this look. But I just used a simple hair band I got from New Look (I think)

My go to GAP shorts and Celine t-shirt (I wore here) with my winter biker boots! Simple! My son definitely loved mummy with flowers look:)

T-shirt - Celine

Phase Eight Holiday Wardrobe Competition

Hi everyone! Hope all is well and everyone's enjoying the lovely hot weather.

Couple of days ago Phase Eight contacted me to let me know about a competition they are having for summer. Its very simple, all you have to do is style 5 holiday pieces from Phase Eight. Thats not all, if you enter the competition you are in the chance to win £250 to spend at Phase eight!!

To be honest it was quite difficult to pick just 5 pieces because there's so many pretty things. So after about a days browsing and then picking and non picking items I finally finalised my 5 picks. (phew!! it was hard work)

Now I know when you say Phase Eight quite a few people think of weddings because I think they are known for their wedding boutique. But they do some amazing casual collections and I love their dresses. So naturally my 5 picks mainly consist of dresses surprise! surprise!!!

My 5 Phase eight holiday pieces

Basic black maxi dress is a summer must have. I love the simplicity of this dress, the deep v-neck and the peep hole on the back give this simple dress a bit of a twist. This is one of those dresses that can be styled in so many different ways. Versatility is a massive buying factor for me and with this dress you will definitely be packing less clothes. If it's for holiday dinner I will wear this dress with a pair of gold jewelled sandals to go with the gold detachable belt and keep things very simple.

If I'm hitting the shops while on holiday or going out for a meal during the day, I'll throw on a denim cropped jacket, straw trilby and a little fringed bag to give it a bit of a bohemian twist. You can even turn this dress into a cocktail dress with a pair of heels, statement jewellery and a clutch. EASY!!

Another maxi dress! This time I have opted for this Orange waterfall hem dress. Nothing says summer holidays like this Orange and it is bound to put you in a good mood whatever the weather is (that is if you're stuck in the UK) Again a simple dress that can be styled in many ways. I will prolly keep it simple as the colour and the detailing of this dress is quite strong. Gold jewellery or gold shoes will make this colour pop even more.

Promise this is the last dress but I can't help that Phase Eight got some amazing dresses.  This striped shirt dress covers so many trends this summer. Monochrome trend - check, Stripes - check, shirt dress - check. How can you not add this dress to your holiday pick?? This can even be a cover up for the beach and you can unbutton couple of buttons to show some flesh (why not??)

Promised you that was the last dress. As difficult as it was to break away from all the lovely dresses I came across this pretty top. When picking my holiday essentials I always go for comfort, rather than sticking to fashion and trends especially with tops. So this top is great to break away from my simple vest top addiction. It's still simple but the colour and the metallic embellishment gives any simple look a dressed up feel.

You have to add a scarf to your holiday pick list. A scarf is my favourite accessory on holiday as I use it in different ways. This scarf caught my eye for the obvious reasons, I'm a sucker for cobalt blue. When its a bit chilly in the evenings I use it as pashmina to just drape around my shoulders or add a bit of colour to a plain top or dress or as a cover up when I'm heading to the beach.

So there we go! thats my 5 holiday pieces from Phase Eight. It's been tough cutting it down to just 5 pieces but I have done it:)

If you would like to enter this competition for the chance to win £250 to spend at Phase Eight then click here for more information on how to enter.

What are your favorite holiday pieces?? What do you think about this post??

Lost Without Love

I have become a bit obsessive about t-shirts ever since the weather got a bit warmer. Not the sort of t-shirts that says 'dweeb' or 'geek' (i don't understand why you would want to walk around in a t-shirt that has something like this written on it) But a simple, comfortable easy to style t-shirt that you can wear with anything. I think it was my Celine t-shirt that I wore here that started this obsession and ever since I have been buying t-shirts left right and centre.

This Topshop t-shirt has to be one of my favorites. I'm not the one to normally go for cheesy slogan t-shirts but something about this slogan really got me.  Just found it quite refreshing to see a slogan that actually has a meaning.

I haven't been able to put this t-shirt down lately because I have been wearing it everywhere. With shorts, with jeans, tucked in with skirts, with heels or flats and its perfect. The fabric is so soft and I love the uneven hem.

I haven't taken these M&S sandals off, I absolutely love them. Shorts, skirts, dresses, jeans they are perfect with anything.  I was a bit worried that if I wear them so often the little diamante's will fall off, but so far so good and I have worn them pretty much every single day.

T-shirt - Topshop
Jeans - H&M
Shoes - Marks & Spencer (here)
Bag - Zara

Apologies for the not so good pictures. The weather was so up and down and I thought it will look better if I used the flasher but it came out too bright.

What do you think about this outfit?? Are you a fan of slogan t- shirts??

My Top Money Saving Fashion Websites - Fashion Blogger Competition!!

when Fashionvouchers.com asked me whether I would like to take part in a competition to create a list of my favorite money saving website for fashion I thought why the hell not?? I spent most of my free time browsing the net for bargains and I have quite a few that I swear by. Plus there is one £100 ASOS voucher up for grabs for  the best post and they are also giving away £20 ASOS vouchers for 5 randomly selected entries. So without further ado lets get on with it.

1. eBay

This is one of my favorite sites. You can't go wrong with a ebay bargain can you?? It's one of my most used apps on my iphone. So easy to use and very convenient and perfect for bidding on the go. If you are not much of a bidding fan there is always "buy now" option. But I love a good bid and always set my self a limit just in case I get carried away but I can't guarantee that I always stick to it though:).

I have bought quite a few of my fashion staples on ebay. My favorites are : My Celine t-shirt, Valentino studded heels, Zara suede ankle strap lookalikes and clear envelope clutch bag.

2.ASOS

Another website I swear by. There are also couple of ASOS options that you can choose as well. ASOS marketplace and OUTLET (where you can save upto 70%) Do a great selection of branded clothing and accessories as well as their own range of clothing. There have been times that I have saved over £30-£40 on branded clothing by buying it through ASOS. What I most Love about ASOS is their shipping options. Their standard shipping is free but takes up to 5 days to arrive, this is the option that I go for mostly. What I also like is the fact that I don't have to worry about returning items if I change my mind because there is free post option and  ASOS pick up service, which I think is great and is stress free.

Another reason to love ASOS is maternity wear. When I was pregnant with my son I struggled so much to find fashionable maternity wear for my ever growing bump. There were days I just burst into tears when I realized I could no longer fit into my favorite Skinny jeans or my favorite dress and ASOS maternity was there to pick me up. They are no doubt the only website that actually offer maternity clothing that you would actually want to wear, so for this reason I will always have a soft spot for ASOS.

Some of my Favorite items off ASOS -ASOS polka dot playsuit (sold out), French Connection stripe maxi dress and Religion stud shoulder t-shirt.

3. iOffer

This is a website you either love or hate, just like Marmite. I was quite skeptical when I first came across this website because I didn't really know what to expect but it has definitely grown on me. You do need to be a bit aware though, make sure you do your research and pick your product and the seller carefully as most of the sellers are Chinese and obviously there is a language barrier to communicate. They also sell alot of replica's so you have to make sure you read the feedback and go for the best option.
I have bought quite a few handbags and shoes from this website and I am very happy to say that I haven't had a single bad experience. The only disadvantage I would say is that it takes ages to arrive but considering it comes all the way from china, shipping is free and there is no Custom chargers I don't think its much of a issue really.

This website offer a great deal of lingerie brands (mostly sexy and a few everyday) from all over the world including Brazilian, French, Polish and American. The prices are really reasonable, considering the quality and the attention to detail some of them even have Swarovski crystal detailing on them (lush!!) . My favorite items from this website has got to be their Brazilian sexy underwear collection which is actually designed and made in Brazil. If your after something extra ordinary from your everyday essentials this is the place to go. The website offer secure payment, discreet packaging and free shipping for orders over £50.
They also have a EU website recently which offers more choices including party wear dresses. UK customers can shop as easily as on their EU website as on the UK  website, shipping costs are similar to the UK website and they offer fast and reliable 1-3 working days tracked courier delivery. You can follow them for updates on Facebook and Twitter

My favorite buys from them- Obviously a couple of Brazilian underwear, Curorina Top and shorts

I have been a massive fan of Fashionvouchers even before they asked me whether I would like to take part in their blogger competition. When I tell you they offer a wide range of Voucher codes, offers and sales available, that is an understatement. Missguided, boohoo, Rare, French Connection, Motelrocks and Miss Selfridges are a few, go to the website and check it out! The site is very straight forward and easy to use. You can browse all vouchers, check out the top 10 , browse all stores, and even find vouchers by category. You can also like them on Facebook , follow them on Twitter or sign up to the weekly Fashion Vouchers Newsletter.

I fell in love with this website for the prints because I'm a sucker for pretty prints. They definitely offer the prettiest dresses and tops no doubt. If you sign up to their newsletter you get 10% off voucher as a welcome offer, then they do special offers for bank holidays where you get up to 20% off. Prices are very reasonable and you can also create your own wishlist, this is what I tend to do most of the time. I will create my wishlist and buy most of the items when I get a voucher. I save quite a bit by doing this.

My Pretty buys from them are - Ellie Love dress, Botanical garden top and flamingo sweater

So  there you go!! My top money saving fashion websites that I swear by. If you would like to take part in this blogger competition go here for more information.

What do you think of this list?? What are your top money saving fashion websites??

Double whamy

As you know I'm a sucker for denim. Today's post is another double denim combo (See Previous double denim post here) People are still a bit hesitant to wear double denim for some reason but all it need is a bit of careful styling. This time I have gone for a off white cropped denim and a denim shirt.

I find it very difficult to maintain white clothes, so I always tend to go for anything but white. These jeans are great because they are a off white colour (but I still struggle to not stain them every time I wear these) The cut of these jeans are so flattering and the zip detail on the ankle gives these plain jeans a bit of an edge. The only thing I dislike about these jeans is that every time I wash these the shape of the zip goes a bit wonky. (does anyone knows how you can avoid this??)

The denim shirt is a washed out denim so it doesn't pop out against the off white jeans. I introduced these leopard print shoes to break the denim. You can even use a printed bag. If you think this is a bit too smart styling then go for flats and a small fringed bag. The styling potential for this outfit is endless.

Jeans are from Stradivarius, which is owned by the same company as Zara. Unfortunately it's not sold in the UK but quite a popular brand in all of Europe. It's a store that I never fail to visit every time I'm in Europe. They do clothing and accessory which is quite similar to Zara designs but a bit cheaper.

 Jeans - Stradivarius
Shirt - Primark
Shoes- Priark

What do you think about this outfit?? Are you a fan of double denim??
